Take advantage of the outdoors in the Quad Cities, which is home to the Mississippi River and many natural recreational areas, public parks, ski resorts, and golf courses.  Other outdoor activities include water parks, tennis courts, baseball and multi-purpose sports fields, basketball courts, public beaches, boat launches, camping, picnic areas, trails, and ski resorts.

Many people enjoy a summer afternoon boating or relaxing on a beach at area rivers and lakes.  There are many boat launches, public beaches, camping, and picnic areas to enjoy in the Quad Cities.

Bike, hiking, and jogging trails offer great recreation for any skill levels.  A 62 mile stretch of the Mississippi River includes a bike trail from Rock Island to Savanna, Illinois.

The Quad Cities is home to the Niabi Zoo, which is a nationally accredited zoo with over 900 animals representing more than 160 species from around the world.  Check out the newest Passport to Africa exibit or Australian Walkabout where you can stroll along a path amongst the free roaming wallabies and emu.
