Sports enthusiasts can always find an event throughout the year. The Quad Cities is proud to host the John Deere Classic, a PGA Tour event played at the scenic TPC at Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois each year.
The Quad Cities embraces its minor league pro sports franchises. The American Hockey League brings excitement to the i wireless Center with the Quad City Flames, an affiliate of the Calgary Flames. When the ice melts, its is replaced with turf for the Quad City Steamwheelers, our Arena Football team, which has the i wireless Center jumping from May to August.
Professional baseball has been a mainstay in the Quad Cities for more than 60 years with Modern Woodmen Park along the Mississippi River. The recently renovated stadium is home to the Quad Cities River Bandits.
The Quad Cities also hosts major races, including the Quad Cities Marathon, Bix 7, Ragbrai, and the Quad Cities Criterium. |
